One Page Spotlight Workshop Series: Learn The Play Of Colours And Tones With Taniya Kshirsagar

Taniya Kshirsagar’s revelation of art being a limitless craft

Taniya Kshirsagar is based out of Nagpur and is currently pursuing her second year of Post Graduation in Fine Arts. Taniya has always had an affinity towards art and creativity and is currently working towards building her business in creating artworks with her twin sister, Swaroop.

“I’ve always been creative and creating art was something that intrigued me. I participated in several competitions when I was graduating and that’s when my interest grew deeper,” she said. Taniya explored the field of art and painting and found the craft diverse. As her sister is equally fond of painting too, together they decided to establish this shared interest into a business.

One Page Spotlight was really curious to know more about posterized painting as this form of painting seems intense though the outcome is nothing short of being appealing. We were pleased to discover the sheer effort and mastery that Taniya has poured into her work after we got an opportunity to glance at her paintings.

“Posterized styles have an interesting characteristic and artists must try their hands at it. This style of painting teaches you to observe the shades and colours of the object in front of you. It is pretty fascinating to observe how different tones are created by the play of light,” she explained.

What we loved about posterized painting is the eyes and mind of a person perceives the difference in tones and light of the object. The main purpose of this style is to create a 3-dimensional effect by skillfully playing with various colors by sketching it manually as opposed to creating it digitally.

Taniya has conducted several art workshops and has explored the field of painting extensively. As she is currently completing her formal education, Taniya simultaneously teaches aspiring artists like her to understand the art form broadly.

“I often tell people in my workshop that art is vast. The idea is to devote your time to each segment to understand how a specific art form works because each of them have incredible scope. From working on canvases, bookmarks to making posterized paintings, I’ve learnt so much and it hasn’t stopped,” Taniya added.

She urges people to explore several forms as it becomes easier to narrow one’s interest to a particular aspect and eventually build on it. Taniya’s work showcases pure mastery, patience and determination of a true artist. Taniya is now on One Page Spotlight and we urge everyone to follow her to know more about her amazing art works. https://www.onepagespotlight.com/letsstart19
